Mentor Openings
Are you a PhD candidate or researcher passionate about teaching? Become a Lumiere mentor and guide talented high school students through research projects. This is a remote, part-time opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Lumiere mentors work one-on-one with students on independent research projects. Mentorships are entirely remote and typically span a few months, during which you’ll meet your student regularly (e.g., weekly) to teach research skills, guide project development, and help produce a final research paper. Mentors act as both instructors and role models, providing guidance in academic inquiry and writing.
Mentors may also volunteer their time to work with students with financial need with the Lumiere Research Inclusion Foundation.

Please note that, due to visa restrictions, we cannot compensate mentors residing in the US on F1, J1, OPT, and H1-B visas. International students in the US are welcome to volunteer with the Lumiere Foundation. We are able to compensate international students in countries outside the US, such as the UK, Canada, or Singapore.
