Tyler Moulton, Head of Academics
How would you describe working at Lumiere?
I would describe working at Lumiere as existing in a very fast-paced, growth-oriented, and absolutely NERDY community. It is filled with people who love research, use research to drive their work, and do work that is literally guiding students themselves through conducting (their first!) research projects.
Can you share a time you felt proud of your work?
I've been working with our team's fabulous writing center since I first joined Lumiere back in May 2021 - this was a year before I began leading our publication team and multiple years before becoming the Head of Academics. In May 2021, there were 3 of us writing coaches, and this summer in May 2025, we'll be welcoming our biggest writing center yet with 35 coaches. I'm so proud to watch this team grow.
What do you like about Lumiere’s culture?
Lumiere is a space of education-passionate people who want to bring research opportunities to more high school students. These nerds are some of the kindest, most intentional people you'll ever meet.
