About the Position
​
We are looking to collaborate with stellar content editors on a pay-per-piece basis. Our blog covers high-quality content on opportunities for high school students looking to get into top colleges in the US and UK. We cover opportunities such as research programs, internships, and extracurricular activities. The content is North America focused. You will collaborate with our marketing team. The work hours are flexible and work is remote.

Qualifications
1. Excellent written English, with the ability and adaptability to write at the level of our best bloggers and editors. Here are a few of our blog articles to give you a better idea of what we mean:
​​2. Prior experience as an editor (or at least as a writer), especially for research-based content.

You’re the Ideal Candidate if You Have
-
A passion for education.

A passion for creating high-quality, informative content with an excellent eye for detail.

Knowledge of SEO-friendly writing (preferred).

Familiarity with Grammarly and Hemingway (preferred).
-
Experience writing/editing long-form content created for American audiences, and more specifically, for students in North America (preferred).

An understanding of the higher education ecosystem in the US and the UK (preferred).
What You’ll Be Doing
Strategic editing:
-
You will edit content created by writers, aligning it with our brand voice, while keeping SEO in mind. This will include adhering to a style guide and maintaining a consistent tone across all content.

You will check the veracity of the information and advice included in the content, and structure and articulate the points in the clearest way possible. This includes conducting a thorough, meticulous fact check.

Providing feedback on the content so that we can continue to improve our writing-editing process.
Owning content quality

You’ll have last-mile ownership over the quality of content, ensuring every piece meets the high-quality standards we maintain.
